Description
The lightest box we make, and the least like the Turkish delight most people expect. No floral flavours, no spice, no nuts — just fruit, and a little mint to keep it honest.
Twenty pieces each of Lemon and Strawberry, ten of Mint. The lemon is genuinely sharp rather than sweetened into submission, which is what stops the strawberry becoming cloying across fifty pieces. The mint cleans up after both.
It is the box that goes fastest in warm weather, and the one children reach for without being persuaded.
How it tastes
Lemon — Sharp and clean, built on zest rather than sugar. It is the flavour that cuts through everything around it, which is why we put a little in boxes that would otherwise turn heavy.
Strawberry — Ripe and jammy without tipping into sickly. The most straightforwardly likeable one we make, and usually the first to go when there are children in the house.
Mint — Cool and clean, closer to a fresh leaf than to confectionery. It clears the palate rather than coating it, which makes it the one that works after a meal.
